Fr Charles Cerini

Fr Charles Cerini was the Catholic Parish priest in the Upper Yarra from 1952 to 1968. He was well respected by all faiths in the Upper Yarra Valley and built St Joseph’s Primary School in Warburton which is no lounged a school and is now called the Cerini Centre. The Cerini Centre

The Cerini Centre is a unique building originating from the mind and hands of Fr Cerini and aided by many volunteers. Originally the local Catholic Primary School it became a function centre and UYCH classroom. It is now unused and boarded up awaiting its new life as part of the Cerini Centre Affordable Social Housing project.
